Little League Coach & Manger Training Program
Go to www.littleleague.org/programs/coachtraining.asp on the Little League web site to find excellent books, videos, and DVDs on teaching Little League baseball and softball. You will find simple how-to instruction on the basics, as well as tips on practice plans and a number of useful drills. This stuff is very useful to all coaches, but especially to first-time coaches.
Another excellent learning opportunity is to ask questions of the other coaches in our program. Coaches at higher levels have been where you are now. Just look them up under "Coaching Staff" on our Home Page (currently shows 2007 coaching staff but will be updated to 2008 soon).
